Become a Logue Author

Ask people for their dream job and travel writer often makes an appearance in the top ten. It sounds all-glamorous - getting paid to travel and write far-flung regions of the world. But the reality is that it's very hard work and takes a certain type of dedicated writer.

If you think you have the passion for a certain destination and are interested in becoming a paid travel writer, we have an opportunity for you. Read on!

WHO YOU ARE:
We are looking for people who have enthusiasm, energy, great writing and a passion for a destination, like say Costa Rica, or London. Living in the location isn't a requirement, but you should definitely have good knowledge about what you're writing about. Although we're looking for you to create an awesome resource for travelers, your personality is just as important. It should be reflected in your writing, be opinionated and grab the readers' attention.

Your willingness to learn and accept guidance is an absolute must.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:
You don't have to have any formal writing experience. But you do need to have internet experience and be at least a solid beginner in HTML skills, cropping photos, and building relationships with other web site owners to help us spread the word about your site.

THE WRITING:
You would be writing and developing an online travel guide to your destination. You will write approximately 500 words per post, once per business day. Not only will you write about your perspective on traveling to the destination, but you will do hotel and restaurant reviews, interview travelers, and help give travelers a complete view of what it is like to travel and live there. You will write the online travel guide to your destination!

THE INCENTIVE:
We are not currently not offering any paid positions.

However, we can offer aspiring travel writers an excellent place to get your start and build a name for yourself as a writer for a well-known travel publisher.

Let's get one thing straight, this is not meant to be a full-time position. However, with strong passion and commitment, your logue could grow to a site that is well known and we may be able to extend compensation for you continued efforts.

We are accepting contributors for any of our logues, and are continually building new ones.
